If you are passionate about making a difference and have a background in psychology, social work, human services, or related fields, we want you to join our team as a Behavior Specialist.Position Overview:As a Behavior Specialist for our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with behavioral challenges, such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other disabilities, who may struggle to remain in their community due to behavioral concerns. You will provide these services in the home or community of those we serve. You will work closely with the Program Director and other team members to develop and implement personalized behavior intervention plans aimed at decreasing maladaptive behaviors and promoting more socially acceptable behaviors.Key Responsibilities:•Implement individualized behavioral plans under the direction of the Program Director.•Conduct assessments of participants' behavior, skills, and environment, considering medical diagnoses and progress.•Develop and implement comprehensive behavioral treatment plans with clear goals and interventions.•Provide training to family members, natural supports, and other service providers to ensure the effective use of behavioral strategies.•Regularly reassess and adjust treatment plans based on participants' progress and needs.•Develop emergency intervention plans for at-risk behaviors and manage crisis situations when necessary.Why Join Us?Professional Development Opportunities:At Venture Forthe, Inc., we believe in investing in our team members' growth. Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields:a. Psychologyb. Social Workc. Human Servicesd. Counselinge. Sociologyf. Public Healthg. Nursing (with a focus on Mental Health Nursing)h. Rehabilitation Servicesi. Criminal Justice (with a concentration in Mental Health or Psychology)j. Education (with a focus on Special Education or School Counseling)k. Family Studies or Child DevelopmentB. Registered Professional NurseC. Certified Occupational Therapy AssistantD. Physical Therapy AssistantIn addition to the educational qualifications, candidates should have:•At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with behavioral difficulties, traumatic brain injury, or disabilities.•Ability to complete 40 hours of specialized training in traumatic brain injury, behavioral analysis, and crisis intervention techniques (provided by Venture Forthe).Salary Description $25/hour
