Alpine Learning Group's Education Program is a full day, twelve-month program for learners ages 3-21. Our staff provides ABA-based teaching techniques in classrooms overseen by a certified teacher and consisting of five learners in a 1:1 to 1:2 student to learner ratio. We Value:

Job Purpose: The Behavioral Support Aide will participate and engage 1:1 with a learner to whom they are assigned. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Data collection
- Assisting with managing problem behavior
- Implementation of skill acquisition programs
- Material preparation
- Assisting with self-care routines (e.g., using the restroom, changing after gym)
- Engaging with learners while they are accessing reinforcers (e.g., playing basketball)
- Assisting with community outings (e.g., ordering food at fast food restaurants)
- Assisting at supported internship placements
- Other activities as assigned
Job Requirements/Skills/Knowledge:
- Be of good moral character
- Ability to successfully complete the Alpine Learning Group training program
- Good communication skills
- Proficient with educational technology (e.g. tablets, computers)
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and needs
- Maintain confidentiality
Qualifications/Certificates:
- Minimum 60 college credits
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience working with learners with autism or special needs preferred
- Experience providing physical support to learners preferred
Clearances: Compliance with Federal, State and NJDOE Personnel Code requirements, including but not limited to Mantoux TB test, Criminal History. Motor Vehicle Review, Citizenship Status Working Environment/Physical Demands: Sitting, walking, standing, occasional running, occasional lifting (up to 75lbs), good fine and gross motor coordination when guiding students, ability to supervise play and exercise routines, vision and hearing and receptive and expressive language abilities, as suited to instructional and behavioral needs of one's students. Schedule: Part-time: 28.75 hours/week 9:00 am - 2:45 pm Salary: $18-22.50/hour, dependent on experience.
