Bell Labs Machine Learning and AI InternUnited StatesPosition: Bell Labs Machine Learning and AI InternNumber of Position(s): 5Duration: 10 weeksDate: June 2nd to August 8th, 2025Location: Onsite, NJThe team you'll be part ofAs a Machine Learning and AI Intern student at Nokia Bell Labs, you will bea part of the Statistics and Data Science Research Group, working on Machine Learning and AI projects with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, Generative AI, and AI in robotics in an exciting industrial research environment. This role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in a dynamic team. You will have the opportunity to build and prototype systems to demonstrate research innovations and publish research in premier conferences and journals.Educational RecommendationsCurrently a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Statistics, or a related field with an accredited school in the US.HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARNAs a part of our team, you will:Research and develop advanced machine learning and AI techniques and algorithmsEvaluate algorithm performance using real-life and simulated dataBuild and prototype systems to demonstrate research innovationsPropose, investigate, and publish research in premier conferences and journalsKEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEDeveloped novel statistical and machine learning algorithmsTrained and evaluated the performance of AI modelsStrong algorithmic problem-solving and software skills (PyTorch)It would be nice if you also had:Knowledge and experience in training multi-modal modelsKnowledge and experience in Reinforcement Learning by Human Feedback or similar techniquesKnowledge and proficiency of Robot Operating System (ROS)About UsCome create the technology that helps the world act togetherNokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
