Overview

The Task Force General Manager is responsible to lead, supervise, and direct the operations and financial activities of Her/his assigned property. In this role, they will create and implement the culture, tools and processes of HEI Hotels and Resorts at the property level for the benefit of the owners, associates and guests. Frequent travel required - 75% of the time. Salary Range $120,000 - 140,000.

Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires the hotel associates to do their best. Oversees the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service.
  • Works with the Hotel Ownership or designated Asset Manager to meet the needs of the ownership group and represents HEI in a positive light.
  • Active involvement in Sales and Revenue Management functions and ensure HEI Tools, SOP's and strategies are in place and consistently executed.
  • Tours and visually inspects property on a daily basis while engaging associates and customers. Monitors staff performance, guest satisfaction, property condition, cleanliness, cost control, and quality of product and service throughout hotel.
  • Creates a positive culture of associate satisfaction and engagement.
  • Leads the Executive Committee, Management and staff to make sound business decisions is a critical portion of the responsibilities. Creates and executes the financial objectives of the hotel.
  • Participates in community affairs and maintains positive public image for the property and HEI Hotels and Resorts.
  • Meets with potential and current clients to promote hotel sales efforts.
  • Ensures the safety and security of Hotel Guests and Associates at all times.
  • Aids Human Resources with associate issues following HEI Hotel and Resorts' policies. Interviews, hires, trains, recommends performance evaluations, resolves problems, provides open communication and recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate. Develops and delegates improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team.
  • Performs any other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' senior hotel management experience, preferably in both Rooms and Food and Beverage.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
