Roles and Responsibilities:

BROAD FUNCTION:

• Set-up and proficiently operate various standards & CNC machine tools on a routine rotational basis; such as lathes, lasers, mills, grinders, electrical discharge machines and other such equipment.
• Make, modify or rework to close tolerance production parts as directed.
• Use standard and special gauges, various hand tools.
• Work to required levels of quality and efficiency from written or verbal instructions.
• Will maintain necessary records, instruct others as required and perform related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with basic computer skills, applications and keyboarding as necessary.
• Must pass an initial OAP inspection test (includes basic math and measuring instruments) and annual recertification
• Willing to perform preventative maintenance and assist in repairs
• Proficient in the use of shop math as necessary, including fractions, and decimals
• Experience operating various hand and power tools such as die grinders, hand baders, etc.
• Experience operating material handling and lifting devices, including ability to obtain forklift license as required.
• High school diploma, or GED

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Significant experience in the use of basic machine tools including surface grinders, mills, engine lathes, drills, EDM, or waterjet (2 points)
• Previous experience and proficiency in operation of CNC machine tools. (3 points)
• Experience in changing machine tool offsets (2 points)
