The Benefits Services Representative is responsible for providing high-quality consultation and service to clients as it relates to the development and improvement of their Benefits Insurance program. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current health programs and make cost containment recommendations
- Consult with clients regarding risk exposure and ensure they have appropriate levels of insurance protection
- Develop and manage relationships with clients
- Create a detailed analysis to illustrate renewal options and market options
- Provide prompt and accurate turn-around on resolving client issues
- Prepare and present high quality, consultative proposals and presentations for clients and prospects
- Be knowledgeable of compliance issues, including but not limited to ACA, to ensure clients understand how such legislation applies to their specific situation
- Work with Benefits Marketer to develop marketing plans to ensure the best Benefits insurance programs
- Assist with Marketing small and large group fully insured renewals
- Compile timely, accurate and complete renewal and prospect proposals and submissions
- Assist the Benefits Department with projects and assistance, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BA or BS or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience in Benefits or related field
- Must hold a current resident Life & Health license within 30 days of being hired. A pre-licensing course is provided. Employees have a maximum of two attempts to pass the exam. If employee fails to pass within two attempts employment will be terminated.
- Maintain continuing education credits as needed & remain current on trends in the industry
- Must have strong Outlook, Word, and Excel Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing deadlines and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
