Job Description:
General Purpose: Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, administers benefits plans and ensures compliance per CCRC compliance rules and regulations. The benefits administrator may also provide backup in the absence of other Human Resources staff. Conducts all organizational business and practices in accordance with Judson Retirement Community policies and bargaining unit contracts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer benefit programs and ensure employees are properly enrolled in selected benefits. Assists with effective Human Resources New Associate orientation program by presenting Benefits program information and answering questions of new associates. May assist with other aspects of orientation program, including but not limited to scheduling refreshment and meeting rooms, confirming associate and presenter attendance, and reviewing policy handbook and other documentation with new hires. Communicate benefits package to prospective and current employees one-to-one or in small groups, administer benefits programs, answer associates' questions regarding benefits and act as liaison with benefits providers as needed. Administer COBRA, FMLA, HRA and employee flexible spending accounts. Process all HR-related and employee benefit bills for payment. Administer workers compensation program and conduct investigations on accidents to identify Represents HR at Judson Manor safety committee meetings and prepares/presents injury reports. Administer personnel file auditing for annual ODH survey auditing process Miscellaneous: Maintains a record of acceptable attendance and punctuality. Observes all company rules and safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Labor Relations or related field with 3-5 years-experience as a benefits administrator. Experience should include familiarity with Benefits management. Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations required. Computer literacy required, including strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with some familiarity with HRIS. Physical Requirements. Good vision and hearing. Ability to lift 20 pounds, bend, stoop, sit for 1-2 hours at a time, walk up stairs. Working Conditions. Office environment.
