Company: Placon CorporationIs this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.Location: Madison, WIPosition: Benefit AnalystThe Benefits Analyst is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, COBRA, etc.). This position will be responsible for annual reporting, benefits billing, and coordinating company wellness initiatives. In addition to these responsibilities, this position will also provide support as needed in areas of training and development, compensation, recruiting, safety, and other day-to-day tasks or projects.Essential AccountabilitiesAdminister company benefit plans and programs including health, dental, flexible spending, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance any other benefit plans offered by the company.Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees (Benefit statements, ACA Reporting, 401(k) auditing, etc).Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and death claims, loans, hardships, etc.Benefit StatementsParticipate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Audit and process benefit invoices.Lead monthly and quarterly wellness events, newsletters, and wellness programs.Manage and coordinate the employee service award program.Manage benefit support orders and maintain records as needed.Approval of benefit entriesTermination of benefits processOpen Enrollment FacilitationNew Employee benefits enrollmentParticipate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems that align with corporate mission, vision, values, strategic initiatives, and annual business plans.Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvement in the efficiency of the department and services performed.Primary trainer for the Human Resources team on benefits and related procedures.Assist Environmental, Health & Safety Manager with safety-related initiatives and administration.All other duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Desired SkillsConsiderable knowledge of principles and practices of human resourcesEffective oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsIntermediate to advanced level of proficiency with personal computer applicationsWorking knowledge of timekeeping and Human Resource Information SystemsHigh level of detail orientationStrong project management skillsStrong customer focus, both internally and externallyDemonstrated ability to lead with inspiration and accountability and being a good role modelProactive approachPosition RequirementsWork Environment Conditions:Inside: Office and occasional work/exposure in a production environmentEquipment/Tools Used:Personal computer, fax, phone, calculator, copy machine, Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, Kronos, C-Cure, i-SolvedPhysical Requirements: Light work (lift 10 lbs): Occasional - Office equipment and suppliesMedium Work (lift 11-30 lbs.): Occasional - Information display boards and materials Heavy Work (lift 31-50 lbs.): N/A Mental Requirements Reading, writing, calculating, interpersonal interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, working effectively with minimal supervision, ability to resolve conflict, management of multiple priorities, and maintaining strict confidentiality of information.Travel Frequency (in addition to seminars or related training):Up to 25% of the time to our satellite locations and any other required travel as necessary.This job description reflects the current assignment of essential accountabilities and is not meant to be all-inclusive.
