Job Summary:

The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll and managing employee benefits. This role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with HR and payroll software systems. This is a part time role - the candidate will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays onsite in our Anderson, SC office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Administer bi-weekly or monthly payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
• Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and employee wellness initiatives.
• Compliance: Ensure payroll and benefits processes comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, including tax filings, benefits reporting, and deductions.
• Employee Support: Assist employees with payroll and benefits-related queries and provide education on benefits packages.
• Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including payroll changes, tax forms, and benefits enrollment.
• Reporting: Generate payroll and benefits reports for management and ensure the accuracy of payroll-related financial records.
• Audit Support: Assist in preparing for payroll and benefits audits and ensuring that any discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field (preferred).

2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.

Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and HRIS systems.

Knowledge of payroll laws and benefits compliance regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills for employee interactions.
