Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Benefits Manager to join our team. This role is integral in administering and managing employee benefit programs to ensure compliance, efficiency, and superior employee support. The Benefits Manager will oversee benefits administration, manage invoices, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide exceptional customer service. Additionally, this role will champion the company's health and wellness initiatives to promote a culture of well-being and support employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Oversee new employee benefit enrollment.
  • Open Enrollment:
  • Plan and execute the annual open enrollment process, including employee communication and system updates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for open enrollment questions and issues.
  • Compliance & Testing:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA reporting, ERISA, and COBRA requirements.
  • Conduct discrimination testing and other compliance audits as needed.
  • FMLA Administration:
  • Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records.
  • 401(k) and ESOP Administration:
  • Assist with 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administration, including employee education, contributions and disbursements.
  • Benefits Invoices:
  • Review, reconcile, and process benefits invoices accurately and on time.
  • Employee Support:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, addressing benefits-related inquiries, resolving issues, and educating employees about available benefits.
  • Develop and distribute clear communication materials to ensure employees understand their benefits options.
  • Health & Wellness Programs:
  • Design, implement, and manage company health and wellness initiatives, such as fitness challenges, mental health programs, and wellness workshops.
  • Partner with vendors to provide resources for physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Monitor participation and effectiveness of programs, making recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations, including ACA, ERISA, and COBRA.
  • Experience with FMLA administration, 401(k) plans, and wellness programs is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.
