Essential Functions:
- Plans, coordinates, and executes internal events (monthly, quarterly, and annual) to align with organizational goals and employee engagement objectives, including but not limited to: mapping/planning programs, managing budgets, engaging stakeholders, handling logistics, crafting internal and external messaging, developing content, and overseeing on-site execution.
- Helps conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment with employee needs and organizational culture.
- Builds, nurtures, and maintains positive professional relationships with internal team members, employees, volunteers, vendors, and contractors to foster collaboration and achieve department objectives.
- Acts as a liaison between employees, vendors, and leadership to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication across all programs.
- Leverages diverse communication channels (email, intranet, newsletters, social media, etc.) to increase awareness, understanding, and engagement in employee benefits and wellness programs.
- Develops engaging content to promote initiatives, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with organizational values.
- Explores and researches industry trends and makes recommendations for program enhancement and activities to encourage employee engagement, retention, inclusion and growth.
- Serves as point-of-contact for employees and timely responds to inquiries regarding benefits, retirement plans, vacation/sick time, leaves of absence, claims issues, and other health and welfare benefits.
- Assists employees in understanding Company Benefits policies, plans, and programs, legal rights, eligibility, enrollment processes, and requirements.
- Under general direction, administers assigned Leaves of Absence types by reviewing and approving/rejecting LOA requests in accordance with all State/Federal laws and in compliance with Company policies; prepares all necessary documentation and correspondence for employees and/or dependents.
- Under general guidance, acts as a resource for Management, Payroll, and HR Contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefit policies and regulations.
- Completes administrative duties including processing change requests to ensure employee benefits records are maintained, updated and accurately reflected, both internally in HRIS for the Company and externally for carriers/providers.
- Researches, investigates, and resolves employee complaints and concerns related to health and welfare plans, escalating complex or unresolved issues to senior team members or management as needed.
- Assists in the administration of the Rideshare Program, including, but not limited to maintaining rideshare forms, annual surveying, and incentives distribution.
- Assists with the administration and completion of Dental Authorization Forms for employees.
- Assists in planning and execution of internal HR events, including benefits fairs, wellness activities, and open enrollment initiatives. Actively participates in events.
- Promotes awareness and understanding of Company Health and Wellness programs and services, encouraging employee engagement and participation.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in Human Resources environment, preferably in Benefits, or related experience.
- Project management and/or event planning experience, highly preferred.
Special Requirements/Certification:
- Bi-lingual proficiency (Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese or Spanish), a plus.
Pay Range: $24.00 to $33.00/hr.
