Sofidel America is looking for a skilled Benefits Specialist (Health and Welfare; Leave of Absence) to join our team in Horsham, Pennsylvania. We are searching for a candidate who is local to the area and is looking for a long-term role in a stable environment with the opportunity for growth.
In this role, you will work closely with other HR personnel including Payroll to ensure the accuracy of employee enrollments and leaves of absence, maintain communication with employees, insurance providers, and brokers as needed, monitor payroll deductions depending on benefit elections, as well as audit, and pay carrier invoices.
Responsibilities
- Assist with employee benefits orientations and enrollments.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, confirm completeness, and monitor for accuracy.
- Submit, maintain, and update employees' information in various vendor databases.
- Audit database reports against ADP enrollments.
- Oversee the employee leave of absence administration process.
- Pay monthly invoices via carrier portals and submit the invoice details to the Finance team promptly.
- Complete Qualified Medical Support Orders (QMSOs) process weekly.
- Complete Purchase Requisitions (PRQs) monthly for invoices in SAP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Risk Management or related field is highly preferred.
- Solid previous experience in self-insured benefits administration.
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefits administration software for accurate record-keeping and reporting. ADP and SAP are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain benefits information and respond to employee inquiries as needed.
- Detail-oriented, able to manage benefits data accurately and efficiently.
- Possesses strong knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proven experience managing complex leave of absence cases.
- Very strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- High degree of professionalism: maintaining a pleasant demeanor, reporting timely to work daily, adhering to the policies and cultural norms of the company, and the ability to protect confidential information.
- Travel to Sofidel America sites as needed.
- Other duties as required.
