Our Client is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Benefits Compliance Specialist to join a leading insurance and benefits organization in New York City. This is a high-impact position that will allow you to interface directly with senior leadership in the company while also receiving direct mentorship from the Head of the team. Role Overview: This Benefits Compliance Specialist manages compliance for the group's health and disability businesses, coordinates pension appeals, organizes committee meetings, and serves as the HIPAA Contact Person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance for health and disability businesses.
• Coordinate pension appeals and draft related documents.
• Organize quarterly Benefit Plans Committee meetings.
• Serve as the HIPAA Contact Person and support HIPAA policy implementation.
• Promote compliance across business lines.
• Contribute to strategic planning and act as a change agent.

Qualifications:

• Experience in health and disability plan compliance, benefits appeals, and health privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
• JD Preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize multiple demands.
• BA/BS preferred, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred certifications in benefits administration, compliance, privacy, or data security.
