JOB SUMMARY
This is a Bid Sales Coordinator position responsible for soliciting, acquiring, and maintaining school district or governmental contracts or bids for Phillips Food Service. This person will work directly with vendors to negotiate product cost(s) and coordinate timely delivery of bid products. The Bid Sales Coordinator will evaluate and source specific products, plan for inventory supply, and oversee timely delivery execution. The Bid Sales Coordinator will interpret and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements of awarded bids and work directly with customers or bidding entities (which may include schools, casinos, cruise-lines, correctional institutions, hotels, hospitals, emergency camps, military/government and nonprofits), to determine pricing and ensure compliance with all bid requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Sales by soliciting and acquiring bids.
• New Account set-up for customer/bidding entity.
• Coordinate all bid activities: product sourcing, vendor cost negotiation, order guide set-up, pricing, inventory acquisition, delivery, activity reporting, Etc.
• Interpreting and ensuring compliance with all bid or contractual requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
• 1-2 years previous experience in Outside Sales for Food Service company (preferred).
• 3 years of previous experience coordinating bids either on the purchasing side working for school districts/governmental agencies or supplier/food service side (required). Bilingual – Spanish (preferred).
