***LSI IS CURRENTLY OFFERING A $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION!!!***LSI currently seeks a full-time Bilingual Caseworker for Post Release Services and Home Studies in the Sioux City area. The Caseworker is responsible for Post Release Services (PRS) and Home Studies for Unaccompanied Children (UC) and families. Our Caseworkers are responsible for helping children and families with resource referrals, community connections, and case management services while utilizing trauma informed care throughout service provision.This position may occasionally work on weekends and evenings. What You'll Do
  • Effectively write and execute home studies while working with immigrant populations
  • Facilitate the reunification process by conducting culturally sensitive home studies, assessments, referrals, and case management services
  • Perform resource referrals, community connections, and case management services while utilizing trauma informed care throughout service provision
  • May serve as interpreter when language skills are applicable for case services
  • May work evening and weekend hours by appointment or assignment
What You'll NeedRequired: Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, social services, or related field with one year of relevant professional experience. Will consider applicants with an equivalency of education and experience. Must read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently. Ability to travel up to 200 miles, including nights and weekends and overnight stays. ORR approval of candidate is required along with clearance from Child Abuse and Neglect checks and FBI fingerprints. These checks will be initiated by LSI after acceptance of position.Preferred: Experience working with immigrant populations, Unaccompanied Children and/or their sponsors. Knowledgeable about family preservation, kinship care, and/or general child welfare. Experience conducting Home Studies and writing professional, thorough assessment reports.
