Job Summary The Bilingual Collections Representative at Reliant Capital Solutions is responsible for managing delinquent accounts and ensuring payments are made to completion. This role primarily involves working with student loans, medical, and credit card accounts that have been processed before acquisition. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Senior Manager and is eligible for telecommuting. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with borrowers. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Communicate with borrowers to provide solutions for resolving delinquent accounts in both English and Spanish.
  • Act as the main point of contact for borrowers, assisting with their delinquent accounts.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to resolve account issues and collect payments.
  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts through to payment completion.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with payment processes.
  • Keep borrower accounts up to date and notify borrowers of any necessary procedures.
  • Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate borrower contact information.
  • Comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and remain up to date on industry requirements.
  • Adhere to both internal and industry-wide compliance regulations.
  • Maintain a structured work schedule and meet performance goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening.
  • Service-oriented with the ability to resolve customer grievances.
  • Proficient in computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems and screens.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, debt collection procedures and customer service specialization.
  • Thorough understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in collections, call centers, or customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Capable of multitasking and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
