**Bilingual Customer Service Representative- Phoenix, AZ**

AZ - Central / Patient Services Call Center / Full-Time **SUMMARY** Planned Parenthood Arizona services include an emphasis on family planning and reproductive health care, including the provision of birth control and comprehensive contraceptive counseling, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing, counseling and referral, HIV testing, annual exams, abortion care and more. In addition, PPAZ focuses on providing medically accurate sexuality education and training services throughout the state. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for in-bound calls, inquiries, administrative contacts and appointment scheduling for all of PPAZs Health Centers. As an ambassador for Planned Parenthood Arizona, the Customer Service Representative will provide excellent external and internal customer service through verbal and written communication skills while maintaining patient confidentiality and a warm and sensitive demeanor.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITES:** APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING: Schedule in-bound and email appointment inquiries in a professional, prompt and accurate manner in accordance with health center standards and appointment guidelines. Maintain quality while providing the necessary information to patients regarding appointment needs and pre-appointment directives. Performs necessary functions in establishing new patient accounts as well as verification of existing accounts. Routinely places outbound calls to verify appointments and call backs for missed appointments. Effectively communicates directions, addresses and patient expectations including financial responsibilities and ensures patient has a level of understanding. Exercises sensitivity and a nonjudgmental manner in dealing with sexuality and sensitive issues with clients ONLINE APPOINTMENT /REFILL REQUESTS: Maintains and resolves On-Line appointment or birth control refill requests for patients retrieved from the internet or phone system. Analyzes request and forwards to appropriate health center for final disposition. GENERAL INFORMATION AND QUERIES: This position may be a generalized information contact regarding Planned Parenthood Arizona's products, services or programs. May require research, analysis or interpretation of PPAZ Policies or Procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILIITES: None required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform_ each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; one year of work experience in a telephone customer service center or health care environment. Experience with Windows based computer systems helpful as well as proficient in typing and data entry. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as medical records, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in 1:1 situations with customers or employees of organization. **Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.**
