About the Role

The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for driving new business and expanding market share by promoting and selling auto insurance products within a designated geographic area. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and a thorough understanding of the insurance market. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Team to develop strategies and execute targeted campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and generating leads. You'll perform the duties below, along with other work as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rapport with agents to achieve acceptable and profitable business.
  • Grow our agency sales force within Florida.
  • Implement the Company's approach to agency selection, suspension and terminations.
  • Assist agents with technical support to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Support agencies through performance reviews, scorecards, and other support needs.
  • Provide ongoing support and service to agencies.
  • Developing new and enhance existing agent premium sources to achieve sales and premium objectives.
  • Work closely with the Product and Underwriting teams to implement company strategies and product offerings.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business growth and improved profitability.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations and product offerings to provide the most accurate and current information to agents.
  • Represent Responsive Auto Insurance Company at community events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities to increase brand awareness and potential new partners.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of field sales or marketing experience, preferably in the auto insurance or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of auto insurance products and industry standards is preferred.
  • Agency Sales experience within Florida.
  • Experience in relationship-based selling and customer-focused sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must hold a valid Fl state Driver's license.
  • Preferred, FL state insurance license.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Must be a team-oriented individual to work with clients, other team members, and internal partners.
  • Availability to work, when appropriate, after hours and on the weekend.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish verbal and written.
  • Current Florida 2-20 Resident General Lines license or ability to obtain within initial 90 days.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
