Salary Range: $46,176.00 - $53,476/year

Join a small team of dedicated therapists who work with families at risk of abuse or neglect referred by a child welfare system. MST-Prevention strives to promote behavior change in the youths natural environment, using the strengths of each system to facilitate change. As an MST Family Support Caseworker you will work collaboratively with the MST therapists to complete assessments and help families meet their casework goals. You will empower families to address problematic behavior and help young people make life-transforming changes.

Responsibilities:

Join a small team of dedicated therapists who work with families at risk of abuse or neglect referred by a child welfare system. MST-Prevention strives to promote behavior change in the youths natural environment, using the strengths of each system to facilitate change. As an MST Family Support Caseworker you will work collaboratively with the MST therapists to complete assessments and help families meet their casework goals. You will empower families to address problematic behavior and help young people make life-transforming changes.

This includes: Adheres to all Safety Procedures including reporting any unsafe practices through proper notification. Supports the clinical team in obtaining assessments and school/medical records required by the program. Collaborates with MST Therapist to assist families with ongoing support and casework interventions on a routine or emergency basis. Interventions might include assistance with housing, budgeting, job attainment, and prosocial recreational activities. Facilitates direct contacts with youth, families, community and public/private entities to gather information about resources for clients and connect families to needed resources and social support networks. Maintains clear, concise, and timely documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with relevant regulations Collaborates with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout services. Responsible to support with resources for the clients and families. Transporting clients and family members as applicable to obtain and engage in community services. Performs intake safety checks on all homes youth may stay in. Also, to perform such checks again on homes when clinically indicated. Ensures appropriate and timely documentation in the agency and funders database. Attend all MST trainings and boosters. Attend all MST supervisory rounds unless performing other duties to assist therapist Other duties as assigned. Organizational expectations include: Regular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundlings and your departments specific time and attendance policies and protocol. Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundlings BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence). Adherence to The Foundlings employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements. Appropriate engagement with support departments to ensure appropriate and timely hiring, performance management, investigation, discipline, suspension, and restructuring decisions concerning direct reports. Regular supervision and performance evaluation of direct reports. Any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.

Salary Range: $46,176.00 - $53,476/year

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related subject area preferred, and one year casework case management experience in child welfare.

Other Requirements:

Preferred experience includes: Experience with systems negotiation and building linkages Social service interviewing skills Conducting intake assessments Community/home-based experience conducting field visits Experience with child welfare reporting information systems

Preferred knowledge includes: Community resources and linkages Public Assistance, Medicaid, Child Health Plus system NYC Board of Education protocols Social skills assessment and interventions

Education Required: Bachelors Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
