Job DetailsJob LocationLong Island City - Long Island City, NYPosition TypeFull-Time Non-ExemptSalary Range$50,000.00 - $50,000.00 Salary/yearDescriptionTitle: Bilingual Group Facilitator Unit: Alternatives to Incarceration Reports to: Program Supervisor Status: Full Time, Regular, Non-ExemptSalary Range: $27.48 per hour (approximately 50,000 annually)Location: Long Island City, QueensDays/Hours: variesMonday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings 11:30am to 7:30pm, subject to change depending on program needs. Position Summary: The group facilitator will facilitate ATI evidence-based workshops and groups in English and Spanish. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure groups start on time and run as scheduled
  • Be prepared with needed tools to increase client participation
  • Assist clients in navigating their scheduled group attendance
  • Assist clients in adhering to group rules of participation, such as no lateness, cell phone use, eating, drinking, foul language, disrespect of other group members.
  • Participate in case conferences for optimum collaboration among departments and programs
  • Communicate with other staff on any relevant behavioral concerns regarding a client that may arise during their group participation
  • Must be team player and work colleagues to address programmatic challenges as they arise
  • Enter timely and accurate daily group attendance in the database systems
  • Enter daily group notes into the database systems
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Attend and participate in scheduled staff activities, meetings and trainings
  • Engage in his/her own ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other related duties as needed
QualificationsQualifications:
  • One year of group facilitation experience
  • Be able to read and write in English and Spanish
  • High school diploma or GED/HSE required.
  • Experience and commitment to working with mandated participants with criminal justice involvement.
  • Strong Time Management Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and database entry skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills; and
