Anticipates and plans for long-term HR needs and trends in partnership with business management. Responsibilities are within the HR Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.Major Position ResponsibilitiesSupports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policiesImplements human resources programs by providing HR services, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity complianceCompletes personnel transactions and maintains associated recordsCollects and analyzes internal and external information in order to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the marketEnsures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulationsMay also have responsibility for:Training/ Development including:Developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs such as management development, talent management, succession planning, technical or nontechnical training, or e-learningMonitors employee development and training programs, assesses needs and results, develops new programs, modifies existing programs and facilitates programsBenefits:Develops, implements and administers cost-effective benefits programs such as life, health & wellness, and disability insuranceDevelops and evaluates wellness programs to support employees' physical, emotional, social and/or financial wellbeingMay identify and incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in benefits programsHR Compliance:Collaborates and provides guidance on all issues of employment compliance related to the organization's human capitalMonitors compliance issues and implications concerned with discrimination, sexual harassment, health and safety, hiring and firing, as well as all other aspects of employee rights and responsibilitiesDevelops, implements, and evaluates diversity/equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with government legislation and organization goalsProvides training and coaching for employees and managers on diversity issuesDetermines the efficiency and effectiveness of the EEO data systemRecommends improvements in recruitment and employee programs to ensure compliance with diversity/EEO goals and regulationsBasic QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Associate's DegreeOR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience2-4 years experience relevant to the positions functional areaPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources or Business AdministrationHR experience with companies supporting 500 or more employees in a manufacturing environment, including multi-shift organizationsBilingual - fluent in Spanish, written and verbalHuman Resources Certifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCPExperience using Talent Acquisition systems (i.e. iCIMS), HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft), and/or Learning Management SystemsProficient in MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint))Previous work with universities and/or technical schools to support and develop workforce pipelinesExperience with Worker's Comp / OSHA reportingKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interfaceLooks for ways to improve and promote operational excellence and partner with Operations leadershipMust be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to re-prioritize and quickly adapt to changesMust be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlinesWorks within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safetyOperates under minimal direction and exercises independent judgmentDecisions are guided by policy, procedures and business planOther Requirements:Must be willing to work flexible hours when neededWillingness and ability to support three (3) area locationsProfessional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations, and site visitsExperience with regulatory strategy and reporting, including AAP, I-9, EEO, Pre-Employment process, OFCCP, FLMA, FLSA, and EEOC requirementsThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
