This position reports directly to the HR Director and receives day-to-day supervision and guidance from the Senior HR Generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and their respective client groups, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.ResponsibilitiesTransactional Support:Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.Process payroll changes, benefits enrollments, and other employee transactions in a timely manner.Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR-related documents and communications.Manage recruitment efforts for seasonal and regular, full-time non-exempt positions. This may include posting open jobs internally/externally, maintaining recruitment file/records, scheduling interviews, tracking the status of background checks, and partnering with supervisors, managers and external agencies on status updates and needs.Functional Support:Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, escalating complex cases to the Senior HR Generalist or HR Director as needed.Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs for employees.Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.Coordinate internal employee investigations as needed, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality.Strategic Support:Collaborate with HRBPs to identify and address workforce planning and talent management needs.Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects that align with the organization's strategic goals.Analyze HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Contribute to the development and enhancement of HR policies and programs to support organizational growth and employee engagement.Cultivate strong relationships with supervisors, managers and employees to strategically advance the HR department's objectives.Minimum QualificationsBilingual (English/Spanish) required.2-4 years of HR or Administrative experience.Demonstrated ability to be successful in a fast-paced, supporting multiple locationsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively to accomplish assignments.Experience in full-cycle recruitment.Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills required.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Must maintain confidentiality in all employment matters.Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.Valid CA Driver's License.Willing and able to travel to several sites in the Napa/Sonoma regionMust be at least 21 years of age.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Workday preferred, but not required.Bachelor's degreeSHRM-CP or PHRLabor Relations experienceAlc/bev or FMCG experienceStrong presentation and analytical abilityPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentLocal travel 50% of the time, the majority of which is within Napa and Sonoma County.While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of the winery and other locations. Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. It also requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment, reading, talking and hearing for extended periods of time.Working conditions in certain production areas of the wineries, warehouses and vineyards can be cold, wet, slippery and noisy.The physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key responsibilities/essential functions. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
