At Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, you can build a rewarding career in everything from working hands-on with girls, to accounting, human resources and project management, to marketing, research-and more.Job Summary:The Bilingual Troop Support Coordinator is responsible for maintaining customer focus in order to provide excellent service to volunteers, parents and girls in Girl Scout troops, guiding troop leaders and providing guidance especially through their first year of participation and crucial bridging years. This role executes strategic retention initiatives and works in partnership with staff and volunteers to achieve results. The Bilingual Troop Support Coordinator builds relationships with volunteers to empower, equip, and support them to reach more girls in more ways with greater impact.Essential Functions:Primary responsibilities include:Coaches, guides, and builds relationships with assigned troop leaders, identifying those with potential for success as volunteers at the service unit and council levels. Supports troop leaders to effectively deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Elevates volunteer experiences and needs to inform council-wide strategies to continuously enhance volunteer support.Collaborates with cross functional-membership team to implement and tailor annual campaigns and achieve overall membership health in designated geographic areas. Maintains specific focus on troop leader retention and girl retention goals, especially following the first year of membership.Manages assigned area budget for purposes of volunteer engagement and recognition.Proactively communicates with troop leaders to ensure they are supporting their local community of Girl Scouts.Acts as first point of contact for inquiries from troop volunteers; serves as liaison between these volunteers and GSNETX.Provides additional support across geographic areas to volunteers who are Spanish-speaking or Spanish-preferred.Ensures smooth transition of new leaders/ troops as transitioned from the membership placement team. Executes support plan specifically developed for new leader support across pathways.Implements troop recovery efforts to prevent disbanded troops and retain members, including outreach to existing volunteers, engagement of potential volunteers, and ongoing experience ideas and support to girl members.Stays informed on available opportunities for troops, including volunteer training, the National Program Portfolio and Volunteer Toolkit, program opportunities, and the GSNETX product programs.Represents team as a subject matter expert in designated area(s), collaborating with and across other GSNETX teams as necessary.Responds in a prompt and efficient manner to incoming requests, leveraging technology and customer relationship management system (CRM) for communication tracking. Provide superb internal and external customer service and support to meet or exceed GSNETX organizational goals.Guides volunteers to adhere to GSNETX Volunteer Policies & Procedures. Encourage volunteers to resolve conflict, escalating through GSNETX volunteer relations processes, as necessary.Ensures the integrity of membership data entered into membership system, including but not limited to troop information updates, troop status, membership registration, and troop financial reports.Collaborates with supervisor to prioritize and determine responsibilities in order to make the highest impact.Other:Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers' license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.Performs other duties, as assigned.QualificationsJob QualificationsMinimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsin English and Spanish.Minimum (1-2) years applicable administrative, project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.Experience with a volunteer workforce is a plus+.Experience with a Salesforce is a plus+.Ability to communicate effectively with all different audiences, including girls, parents, volunteers, and GSNETX team membersDemonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.Adheres to the GSNETX's equal opportunity and non-discrimination policies, which ensure that there will be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, sex, creed, national origin, socioeconomic status, disability, or age.Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.Must complete and pass a criminal background check.Our Organization's Cultural Values:We are relevant.We strive for equity.We put our stakeholders first.We collaborate to get the best results.We own our work.Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is an equal opportunity employer and supports a diverse, inclusive work environment.
