The Billing Analyst will be responsible for the accurate and timely essential billing functions for the PA programs including Residential, Medical Homes, and Life Sharing. Additionally, this position is responsible for processing the State, County, Federal, and private pay billing, revenue and receivables necessary for an assigned program or functional area. This individual will ensure: accurate and timely billing and re-billing, resolution of held claims, proper follow-up on partially paid and denied claims, proper resolution of authorization issues, and the completeness and accuracy of recorded revenue. Some Essential Functions:
- Ensure that PA Residential, Medical Model Homes, ICF and Life Sharing claims are created for all services each month through regular review of unbilled service reports and audit reports.
- Generate weekly billing batches, review for accuracy and general ledger accounts and remit claims.
- Generate action-based transactions in Evolv to Promise system including voids, adjustments and billing resubmissions.
- Reconcile billing reports to revenue reports and submit issues/findings to supervisor; review/reconcile payments to billing and investigate and resolve open claims.
- Review the completeness and accuracy of the billing batches created by the Billing Coordinator assigned to their team and remit those claims to PA Promise.
- Ensure completion of day-to-day billing functions to support the success of the team.
- Support the Billing Manager in testing billing system upgrades, new billing requirements and changes to current processes.
- Support the measurement of billing KPIs and other analytics and work with team members on process and procedure improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field and 2 years of experience in billing or receivables or 8 years experience in billing or receivables.
- Experience with billing applications required. Experience with Evolv strongly preferred.
- Above average skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.
- Individual must be able to handle confidential information and be able to implement recommended changes as needed.
