The Billing and Collections Associate will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Record payments received and reconciled accounts
- Follow up on overdue accounts and send reminders to clients
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues with clients
- Communicate with the sales team and account managers regarding billing and collections
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all billing activities
- Assist with month-end close and other accounting tasks as needed
- Other administrative and finance duties as required
RequirementsEssential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or billing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as accounting, finance, business administration, or a similar discipline.
Working conditions:
- Typical office environment with occasional overtime or weekend work during peak periods
- Occasional travel may be required for client visits or meetings
Physical requirements:
- Sedentary work, sitting for extended periods of time
- Some lifting and carrying of boxes or files up to 25 pounds may be required.
