BE THE CEO OF YOUR JOB

The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for the oversight of all financial aspects of the company's Hospitality Accounting team. Your ability to own your work and drive success will make a direct impact on the communities we serve.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, develop, and lead multiple team members.
  • Oversee, train, discipline, and evaluate employees on a frequent basis.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and uses of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Works closely with the SVP of Accounting to ensure a clean and timely audit.
  • Lead the timely preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Provide and monitor key KPI's and report on any areas at risk or in need of improvement, while developing and presenting key information to management.
  • Review and approve all hospitality payroll reports.
  • Oversee hospitality management company and financial preparation.
  • Collaborate with hospitality team to identify key areas of focus.
  • Review capital expenditure requests and maintain cash forecast for anticipated capital spend.
  • Provide support to external auditors to ensure an accurate and timely audit.
  • Prepare reporting packages.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience; Considerable knowledge of real estate and generally accepted accounting principle.

Technology/Equipment

  • MRI experience preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
