Job DetailsJob Location Danbury - Danbury, CT Salary Range $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly Job Category General Business Description We are looking to hire a Accounts Receivable/ Workers Compensation Coordinator to join our Central Billing office Team. The ideal candidate will possess Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable experience working denied and ageing claims, with a knowledge of Workers Compensation. Previous experience in medical accounts receivable is required to be considered for this role. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ( no weekends)Benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researching and resolving claim denials for an assigned portion of the A/R
- Claim follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims
- Appeal of denied claims
- Handle patient account inquires and provide resolutions
- Work directly with insurance companies, providers and patients for insurance verification
- Complete comprehension of assigned insurances
- Receive updates from assigned insurances regarding policies and procedures
- Access carrier websites, and know your way around, know how to appeal, look up policies and procedures, and check claims and eligibility
- Must have excellent time management skills in order to keep all accounts current
QualificationsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in billing and collections within a medical office
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD 10
- CPC a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of government, commercial and third-party payer regulations
- Experience with payer websites for claim and eligibility information
- Experience with Centricity CPS Practice Management System a plus
- Knowledge of insurance verification process for managed care and workers compensation
- Must possess outstanding time management and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment
