Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Billing Associate, you will play a key role in managing the billing cycle for our legal services. You will work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices for legal services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Review and edit billing entries for clarity and completeness.
  • Assist in the resolution of billing inquiries and discrepancies from clients.
  • Maintain and update billing records and systems to ensure accurate tracking of accounts.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other staff to gather necessary billing information.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with budget tracking as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and billing software advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and billing practices is a plus.
