Job Description:

The Billing Clerk is responsible for managing the billing processes. This role involves preparing and issuing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate billing records. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Familiarity with billing software and basic accounting principles is also beneficial.

Location: Dallas, TX (onsite)

Shift: Monday – Friday / 9 am – 6 pm

Employment Type: Full-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Invoice Preparation and Processing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers based on service usage and subscription plans. Verify billing data, including customer information, service details, and pricing. Ensure timely and accurate entry of billing information into the billing system.

Customer Account Management: Maintain and update customer billing records, including contact information and payment details. Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a professional and timely manner. Assist customers with understanding their bills and payment options.

Payment Processing: Process customer payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers. Reconcile payment discrepancies and ensure accurate application of payments to customer accounts. Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, initiating collection procedures as necessary.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed billing reports and records for internal and external audits. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to billing activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and account reconciliation. Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address billing-related issues and improve customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.

Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Other Requirements: Familiarity with telecommunications services and billing practices is a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions: Office environment with standard working hours. Occasional overtime may be required during peak billing periods.
