Frozen Food Express is looking for a Billing Clerk for our Lithonia, GA location. Our strategic vision at Frozen Food Express is to be the premier temperature-controlled LTL carrier in North America. SHIFT: Monday Off Tuesday 1100-2030 Wednesday 1100-2000 Thursday 1100-2000 Friday 1200-2100 Saturday 1100-2000 Sunday Off Billing Clerks are eligible for an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance plans, vacation, and sick time. Responsibilities:
- Create freight manifest list using applicable coding.
- Work with Dock Supervisor / Dock Lead to troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Assist dispatcher with dispatch sheet and advising drivers concerning any problems encountered in the pickup and delivery of freight.
- Responsible for all inbound and outbound paperwork.
- Run delivery receipts and scan all bill of ladings.
- Maintain count list of items received or shipped and check against bill of lading, recording any discrepancies.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Additional hours may be required based on business needs
- Strong customer service skills
- Must have at least two years of clerical work experience
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Ability to solve problems where work is defined with established instructions and processes
- Ability to work under close detailed instruction
- Experience in the transportation industry a plus although not required
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- AS400 experience is preferred, but not required.
