Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Billing & Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing and collections, ensuring that all invoices are accurate and timely, and all collections are handled professionally and effectively. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. - Manage all aspects of the billing process, including preparing and sending invoices, tracking and reporting on billing activities, and resolving billing issues.
- Handle all collections activities, including contacting customers regarding overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans, and resolving disputes.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely billing of all services.
- Conduct audits of billing and collections activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on billing and collections activities and trends.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to the billing and collections processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and collections regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and collections, with a focus on freight billing and claims.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the billing and collections process, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-focused approach to collections.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze billing and collections data and trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel.
- Knowledge of billing and collections software and systems is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
