Billing/Settlement Coordinator Job Overview: As a Billing/Settlement Coordinator with The Custom Companies, you will be responsible for approving the pay of all contractors and company drivers. This position oversees facilitating accurate and timely settlements ensuring that all orders are entered correctly as per delivery order and/or rate confirmation, verify all required documents are legible and scanned in. There is constant communication with the contractors and Company drivers to answer their questions/ concerns via email, text, and phone. The Billing/Settlement coordinator works hand in hand with our customer service representatives, dispatchers, other internal departments and external customers and must be willing and able to answer questions or concerns to resolve any conflicts. This position requires great communication skills, enthusiasm, and patience. Billing/Settlement Coordinator ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Approve contractors and company driver pay after cross checking details on commercial order reports
  • Complete and ensure Driver pay is accurate.
  • Keep track of POD's as well as other documents which confirm the loads, obtain any missing documents, and manually scan into system
  • Possess exceptional organization skills to handle all incoming communications
  • Problem-solve when drivers have pay issues
  • Communicate with dispatchers and customer service to ensure accuracy and data integrity for customer charges and Driver pay
  • Understand various accessorial charges, such as, detention, lay over, breakdown pay etc.
  • Be willing to assist other departments
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE: Two years of prior payroll and/or accounting experience Attention to detail is a must for this position Ability to multi task is required Outstanding written and verbal communication skills necessary Flexibility and willingness to adapt and change as necessary BENEFITS:
