Starting Salary:
$55,000 - $80,000 with a $2,500.00 Sign-on Bonus!
Actual pay will be determined based on several factors. These may include education, work experience and in some instances, certifications. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading and managing the billing operations of Root Center. This is a unique role that is highly visible within the organization and requires a strong manager with the ability to prioritize and plan on behalf of the department as well as motivate and supervise a team of Claims and Billing Specialists. This position is responsible for implementing and enforcing policies and procedures as well as streamlining effective billing processes across the organization. The incumbent must have an extensive background in Medicaid, Commercial and Medicare documentation, coding and billing.
Essential Functions
* Oversee and streamline billing processes
* Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
* Develop and supervise team of billing professionals
* Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
* Oversee the revenue cycle and ensure timely payment from payers
* Knowledge of ICD10 codes and CPT codes for professional fee billing
* Collaborate and communicate with front-end staff, operations, finance and administration
* Serve as designated billing representative at agency meetings and trainings as needed
* Monitor billing related regulations and implement required changes
* Research new billing opportunities and maintain fee schedule
* All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
* A college degree in accounting or a related area is preferred
* 3-5 years of billing experience is required, experience billing multiple diverse service lines is preferred.
* CPC (coding); demonstrated ICD10 proficiency
* Experience with navigating an electronic medical record (EMR) required, experience
* Experience supervising, leading and mentoring a team of billing professionals required
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Ability to prioritize and communicate clearly. Uses tact and judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Ability to document coding and abstract finding in the medical record.
* Ability to read and comprehend electronic medical records.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
