Billing Manager
Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc. (CRCSI) in Uniontown, PA is hiring a full-time, experienced Billing Manager to oversee responsibility for the agency's $18+ million revenue cycle functions. This is an in person, Monday through Friday position.
This position is eligible for a $5,000 Sign on Bonus
Position Description:
The Billing Manager position is responsible for overall management and compliance within CRCSI's billing and collections operations. This position oversees and is responsible for the work product of all billing department staff. This position works closely with all Senior Management and Program Managers while reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Regulatory Compliance to include the understanding of, compliance with, managing, and enforcing of all agency policies, billing and business processes, and Federal and State Regulations
* Understanding of all CRCSI individual program service descriptions, coding, billing guidelines, and fiscal allocations
* Maintains appropriate internal controls over accounts receivables and cash receipts while monitoring charge posting, billing, adjustments, and collections
* Monitors all aging accounts receivables with aged AR being less than 3% in 151> days
* Effectively lead and manage a team of 6 billing specialists to include training, performance evaluations, schedules, time keeping, and associated duties
* Performs daily, monthly, end of year reports to balance with fiscal department
* Communicates concisely and timely billing issues with action plans directly to CFO and other Senior Management as appropriate
* Keep all billing/collection policies and procedures enforced and up to date
* Ensures excellent customer service with internal and external customers, including consumers, CRCSI staff, and staff of other organizations
* Manage and update credentialing information for the group and individual providers across all insurance companies while ensuring ongoing credentialing for existing providers, new providers, and all locations
* Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Essential Job Functions:
* Possess a strong knowledge of Healthcare Front Desk Business Operations, Third-Party Payer Billing Operations, and Regulatory Compliance
* Ability to professionally relate and effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing to all internal and external parties
* Possess strong technical skills with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, Electronic Health Record, and Billing Matrix set-up and operations, creating and generating reports, and proficiency with using copier, scanners, printers, and portable devices
* Ability to manage time, prioritize work, project management, possess exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task across many assignments on a consistent basis, and appropriately delegate tasks
* Possess willingness to learn, ability to process information, and effectively adapt to change while working and problem solving independently
* Possess strong understanding of compliance to include demonstrating confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of job responsibilities

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding required
* Three year minimum supervisor/managerial experience required with five year minimum medical billing experience
* FBI, PA State Criminal, and Child Abuse Clearances
* ACT 31 Mandated Reporter Training
