Job Title: Accounting/Billing Specialist Location: Livingston, NJ - 4 days/week in office Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 Job Overview: As an Assistant Account Manager/Billing Specialist with our insurance agency client, you will play a vital role in handling all Agency & Direct Billing for our Largest Property & Casualty Team. You will be responsible for handling the total billing processes, from retrieving endorsements, audits, cancellations from various carrier portals and policy checking for accuracy. Also, you will be responsible for Life and Health and Dental Direct Bill Receipts and applications daily. Knowledge of generating certificates would be helpful. This candidate will be requesting premium finance for our clients. This a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in insurance and accounting. You will collaborate with our accounting team to address billing discrepancies, facilitate timely payments and provide excellent service to both clients and carriers. We value growth and hard work. Responsibilities:
- Manage agency and Direct Billing processes, including issuing invoices and handling billing discrepancies.
- Process and track return premiums and coordinate with carriers, brokers and clients
- Retrieving all documents needed to facilitate billing from carriers
- Policy checking for accuracy Handling carrier statement policies not billed in a timely manner
- Making sure for accuracy premiums billed against premiums financed Work closely with accounting
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an insurance agency.
- Proficiency in Applied Epic agency management software is required.
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing processes (agency bill, direct bill, premium finance).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Solid proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
