As a Billing Specialist, you are responsible for receiving inbound client calls and emails, helping clients resolve billing related questions and concerns, processing of credit and debit memos, and managing the refund and cancellation processes. Additionally, you will review sales contracts for billing and revenue implications. This is followed by invoice creation and analysis. A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
* Performing contract entry and execution invoicing, including reviewing signed contracts for completeness, creating new clients if needed in master file, entering contract into system in timely and accurate manner, and generating execution invoicing for contract upon contract set-up approval
* Processing recurring invoicing, including reviewing invoicing trends/validation to check accuracy of renewals, creating new price books and setting up field service contracts for renewals, retaining appropriate documentation for audits, and resolving issues in invoicing process
* Reviewing transactional details from third party vendors, preparing transactional invoicing files for system processing, checking invoicing data for accuracy, and retaining appropriate documentation for invoicing audits
* Conducting client interactions related to billing and cash application both over the phone and email
* Assisting internal teams with basic billing and client-related questions
* Working directly with Retention and Client Support teams to manage the client cancellation workflow
* Processing client credit memos, debit memos, and refunds in an accurate and timely manner
* Working across departments to research and resolve escalated client disputes and billing exceptions
* Driving process improvements including working with business partners and other departments

Required Qualifications:
* 2-4 years related work experience
* Proficient in Excel, such as V-Lookups and pivot tables
* Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* BS degree in related field
* Experience with large ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct)
* SalesForce experience
