General Purpose of Job:The Billing Specialist oversees the accurate completion of the charge entry billing process to ensure the financial viability of the organization in accordance with State and Federal reimbursement guidelines. Duties include but are not limited to ensuring accurate and timely charge entry for physician groups, correct ICD-10 coding relating to ensuring clean claims via electronic or paper submission, Radiology charge entry into Code-Ryte, assistance with claims EOP printing for secondary claim filings, and being instrumental in the secondary claims filing process.

- Enter patient charges to corresponding patient accounts.

- Maintains and ensures confidentiality of patient records at all times.
- Monitors
- Notifies Supervisor of any billing rejection trends or system problems/issues immediately.
Education and/or Experience:- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with Epic software preferred.
- Ability to spell medical terminology accurately.
- Ability to type 60WPM.
- Prior experience working in a medical billing office preferred.
