The billing support team assists the Revenue Cycle Department by taking patient payments and provide education to patients in relation to their billing transactions. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is well-organized that pays close attention to detail. Prior experience in a medical office performing billing duties is beneficial to this individuals success, although not required. This full-time, in office position is located at our West Des Moines office Monday thru Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM.

Do I want this job? You will be a point of contact for patients, staff and physicians that may have questions or concerns regarding billing transactions and payments. You enjoy working in spreadsheets and computer software and know the ins and outs of computer functions. You can keep patient medical records, payments and billing transactions organized and are confident providing patient education. You will have conversations with strangers who may be in pain and need help. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful.
Can I do this Job? You must be able to be on the phone or sit at a desk for extended periods of time that may seem unnatural. You must have a high school diploma or GED. You enjoy working behind the scenes of a medical practice. Have a working professional knowledge of the principles and practices of patient accounts and administration is preferred. A technology savvy individual will thrive in this role. Experience with electronic medical systems is preferred although not required. You are a highly organized, driven individual that enjoys multi-tasking. You have strong written and oral communication skills.
