Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a Billing Support Specialist to join our team. In this role you will performs administrative and various general procedures associated with routine billing processing. This position supports the Billing department and works closely with the Advanced Billing Support Specialist to ensure that documentation are routed properly to the correct physician and payer entity. Hours/Shift 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Friday Following the initial training period onsite, this role can work a hybrid schedule Must reside within a 2-hour radius of Des Moines, IA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handles denials, correspondence and tasks as assigned Process insurance audits daily Work clearing house rejections for all insurance payers Responsible for an Insurance AR assigned by the Billing Manager and subject to change without prior notice Works all bone stem tasks, deceased patient, and co-pay assistant programs Works closely with the Advanced Billing Support Specialist to assist them with any daily file drops Additional duties as assigned related to billing support The ideal candidate for this role has: High school diploma At least one year of experience in a medical office setting, preferred Prior experience with medical terminology and medical forms, preferred Strong attention to detail including the ability to enter data into systems accurately Strong math skills including an ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide Excellent communication skills Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to change Why Choose Iowa Ortho?
