Job Summary:
Generally supervises department employees engaged in a variety of billing support functions. Will assist Supervisor in personnel oversight to include participation in performance appraisals, timekeeping and payroll, retention and disciplinary processes.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving problems, interprets procedures, and establishes work loads and priorities. Reviews work to ensure meets quality and quantity standards. Must be sensitive to confidential information. Maintains professional and courteous contact with staff, patients, and insurance carriers. Frequently supervises or directs support staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years medical billing experience. Will consider equivalent combination of relevant education, certification and/or experience.
Proficiency with various computer software applications. Able to work independently, only referring unusual problems to the supervisor. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
