Job Description:

The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, development, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies throughout the project lifecycle. This role will collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure the successful integration and utilization of BIM methodologies. The BIM Manager will play a critical role in enhancing project efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration by leveraging BIM tools and standards.

Responsibilities

Technical

  • Develop and implement BIM execution plans (BEPs) for projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement procedures and oversee the coordination, clash detection, and resolution processes within BIM models.
  • Coordinate the generation of 3D models among architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and flag noncompliant work.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to BIM.
  • Identify opportunities to improve BIM processes, workflows, and efficiencies.

Management

  • Lead the BIM team in creating and maintaining BIM models, templates, libraries, and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM into project workflows effectively.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software applications and methodologies.
  • Liaise with software vendors and IT teams to maintain and upgrade BIM software tools and infrastructure.
  • Act as a champion for BIM adoption and advocate for its benefits to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in BIM management or related roles within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software applications such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and protocols (e.g., COBie, IFC).
  • Excellent management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to mentor and develop junior staff members.
  • Knowledge of BIM automation tools
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for driving continuous improvement in BIM processes and practices
