Motor City Electric (MCE) is a nationally ranked Detroit based turn-key electrical construction contractor. We are actively seeking a BIM Modeler with experience in electrical construction design/detailing. MCE's current projects include large scale commercial property developments, hospitals, data centers, research centers, utilities, automotive, etc. Modelers will work on-site providing assistance to the team lead with electrical modeling coordination and design. Teams develop high level BIM models to facilitate electrical shop drawings and project documentation for field installation. Shop drawings and documentation are derived from, but not limited to Revit & Revit MEP Operating Software, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft products. Ideal candidate would be a motivated self-starter with the desire to learn and grow within a professional environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Degree/Diploma in electrical engineering/technology or construction technology with CAD background
• Basic knowledge of construction protocol & ability to interpret construction documents.
• Recent experience with Building Information Modeling software
• Basic knowledge of building electrical code
• Dependable work history, including referenced with proven strong time management skills.
• Able to function productively with little instruction on daily work and under general instructions on new assignments.
