Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Research Intern to join our lab in Lakeway, Texas, for the Spring 2025 semester. This in-person role focuses on investigating novel methods of stabilizing blood for delivery, with the potential to contribute to patents or journal publications. Your contributions will be acknowledged, and the experience could serve as a strong resume builder.

This position is ideal for a Master's or PhD student based in the Austin metro area who is passionate about research and innovation in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments to develop and test novel blood stabilization methods.
• Analyze and document experimental results meticulously, ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the research team to refine methodologies and troubleshoot challenges.
• Contribute to the preparation of intellectual property (patents) or manuscripts for journal publication based on research findings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Attend regular meetings with the research team to discuss progress and share insights.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Master's or PhD program, ideally in a related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Sciences.
• Ability to commute to the lab in Lakeway, Texas, for 20–30 hours per week during the Spring semester.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to research.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to cutting-edge research with real-world applications.
• Previous laboratory experience is highly preferred.
