Position Title Biology Lab Student Assistant Posiition Number STSS15 Tenure Information Job Description
Assist the biology instructors with tasks related to preparing biology labs for classes, maintaining the biology prep room, as well as taking care of the biology lab animals and plants. Lab Assistants that are interested and have the relevant training and knowledge may also work as an Instructional Student Assistant for a biology lab section and may help with grading lab assignments.

* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Salary Range Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units in corresponding semester. Must present appropriate documentation that establishes identity and employment authorization.
Hourly Rate Desirable Qualifications Essential Duties
* Maintaining the prep lab: doing dishes, setting materials out and putting them away, running the autoclave etc.
* Taking care of lab animals and plants
