Please note that this position is primarily for Saturdays and Sundays.The Birthday Party Host(s) is a member of the Group Sales Department and reports to the Sales Lead. The Birthday Party Host is responsible for communicating and collaborating with guests throughout all aspects of their birthday party. This includes but is not limited to communicating with guests to customize the plan for their birthday party, preparing for the party/event, interacting with guests upon arrival, serving as the host for the designated birthday party, overseeing setup and cleanup, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the entirety of the program. The Birthday Party Host will present a positive image of OWA Parks and Resort, provide high quality customer service, take pride and, and deliver outstanding service to every guest who comes through our doors.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be the first face your party guests see; they'll be giving you tips, so greet them with a SMILE!
- Setting up the party room, helping the parents/guests with any decorations, and delivering food.
- Clean up the party room to become presentable for the next group.
- Handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Lead, Sales Supervisor or Sales Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior work experience in hospitality or retail preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
- Great personality and enjoy working with the public with special interest in guest service
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to effectively identify problems and present resolutions
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to include working two (2) out of three (3) weekend days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Also, must be able to work in sunny, hot, humid, cold and rainy conditions
