Mountain Recreation is looking for someone who is creative to oversee our birthday parties at the Edwards Field House.POSITION DETAILSJob Title: Birthday Party HostLocation: Edwards Field House (Edwards, CO)Schedule: Part-Time; Year-Round; Saturdays and/or Sundays, 11am-4pmWork Environment: Work schedule is varied and may require evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours may vary. The flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention much or all the time. Work requires continuous contact with children and requires a great deal of energy, patience, and flexibility. Frequent exposure to childhood illnesses poses slight health hazard. Physical exertion includes frequent walking, bending and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, pushing, pulling, and kneeling to lift children, equipment, and supplies. - Greet patrons as they enter the facility. Provide positive and enthusiastic customer service to all party guests.
- Prepare and decorate party areas with balloons, signs, streamers etc. Set up cake, party favors, tableware, drinks and food if requested.
- Assist guests in serving food, party favors and various other tasks.
- Ensures the safety of the children while in our care. Reports any problems with equipment or toys to supervisor.
- Monitor party area to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Maintain accountabilities for all attendees/children
- Entertain the children with creative activities, games, etc.
- Ability to answer questions regarding party policies and procedures.
- Provide information to the public on facility operations and recreation programs
- Ensure safety of patrons in the facility and assist in emergency situations
- Provide first-aid care when needed.
- Inform supervisor of any known situation that may be hazardous to patrons or staff
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:Education and experience
Minimum 15 years of age or older; ANDHigh school graduation or equivalency or currently attending high school; ANDPrevious volunteer or work experience providing care for infants, toddlers, and children, preferably in a professional setting; OR4. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the above-described duties.5. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.Certifications:
