BlackRock Global Infrastructure is looking to hire an Associate for an immediate start based in Greenwich, CT.About BlackRock Global Infrastructure The BlackRock Global Infrastructure team manages $15 billion of capital commitments across four funds. The team is currently busy investing its fourthvintage fund, which reached a final close in 2024 with $6.1 billion of capital commitments and is pursuing investments globally across the following sectors: energy & environmental, digital infrastructure, low carbon power, regulated utilities, and transport & logistics. Recent investments in Fund IV include: GridTek, a leading provider of mission critical repair, maintenance and upgrade services for electric transmission & distribution infrastructure to blue chip US utility customersMainova WebHouse, a first-of-its-kind data center partnership with a leading, regional energy supplier in Germany to develop & operate hyperscale data centers powered by renewable energyPortland Natural Gas Transmission System, a regulated natural gas pipeline system in the Northeastern USStratos JV, a joint venture with Occidental Petroleum to build the world's largest direct air carbon capture facility in Texas The team traces its legacy back to the First Reserve Energy Infrastructure business which was acquired by BlackRock in 2017 and is headquartered in Greenwich, but also has offices in London, Singapore, Houston, Riyadh, and Mexico City. There is the potential for strong performers to move to the other office locations in the futurePotential career-track role for strong performers Key Responsibilities Financial Modeling: developing, utilizing, and analyzing financial models in order to evaluate investment opportunitiesDue Diligence and Execution: working with the team to assess and execute new investments. This will include conducting due diligence, financial review, preparation of presentation materials for investment committee etc.Market research: Performing market research, including research on potential investments, industries, competitors, etc.Portfolio Monitoring: assist in the monitoring of portfolio companies including analysis of corporate development, add-on, and financing opportunities, analyzing budgets, interacting with key members of management, and positioning business to be prepared for exit Development Value Candidates will gain deep full-cycle experience in infrastructure investing through the evaluation of new investments as well as all aspects of running a business through the monitoring of existing portfolio companies Skills/Qualifications Undergraduate degree with strong academic background2+ years of previous investment banking and/or principal private equity or infrastructure investing experienceA keen interest in diversified infrastructureDemonstrable financial modeling and evaluation skillsStrong presentation skills as well as strong oral and written communications skillsTeam-orientedEnthusiasm and commitment to working in a friendly, entrepreneurial, team environment is critical Our BenefitsTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.Our hybrid work modelBlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
