We are currently seeking skilled 2nd shift Surface Grinders. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective set up and operation of Rotary and Blanchard Surface Grinding Machines, ensuring high-quality output in every aspect.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently setting up, adjusting, and operating surface grinders to achieve specific finishes on flat surfaces with multi-dimensional aspects.
• Utilizing blocking, aligning, and securing methods for irregularly shaped work pieces, applying magnetic chuck or sine plate where necessary.
• Dressing and changing wheels to meet diverse finish requirements, including radii and angles.
• Collaborating on process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• HSD/GED along with 5-7 years of pertinent experience, training, or a comparable combination of education and professional experience.
• A robust understanding of operating Mattison (reciprocating) style surface grinders.
• Knowledge of grinding angles, four-side grinding, and the skills to grind parts square are essential.
• Experience with Blanchard (rotary) style surface grinders is a significant advantage.
• Solid understanding of manual machine operations.
• Experience in using and interpreting a variety of inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• The capability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, and engage arms and hands; must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. often, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Shift Differential: $2.00
