Job Description:
Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner, prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure the best possible product.
  • Pressure wash wireline, flowline and winch components and assemblies to the highest standard removing all traces of contaminants in preparation for blasting or painting.
  • Load the blast booth and blast each component to base metal removing all traces of previous paint and coatings.
  • Rig up equipment and load the paint booth in preparation for spray painting. Clean components with thinners and apply masking tape to relevant areas to ensure a high-quality paint finish.
  • Maintain the Blast Booth equipment and relevant PPE ensuring they remain in good working condition.
  • Maintain the Paint Booth and painting equipment making sure that spraying equipment is thoroughly cleaned after every use and all relevant PPE remains in good working condition.
  • Liaise with management monitoring and recording quantities of paint and blast media used.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the QA procedures and departmental work instructions.
  • Actively participate in training as identified by the Service Manager and QHSE..
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years' experience in blasting and painting.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Ability to work overtime as required & a standard schedule 5days/week (Mon - Fri).
  • Ability to read, understand and apply relevant instructions from NOV procedures.
  • Operation of pressure blasting equipment.
  • Operation of spray paint equipment and techniques.
  • Operation of cranes and forklifts, etc. as required.
  • Ability to read and apply Assembly Drawings/Procedures.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
