Bling TechnicianFor Nicole Doree Brands LLC DBA We Do Bling in Wintersville, OHReports ToThe Bling Technician will report directly to the Production Manager.Job OverviewWe Do Bling, a rhinestone embellishment brand, is launching its website and first store front and is seeking a creative and skilledBling Technician to join our team. As a Bling Technician, you will be responsible for embellishing various items with rhinestones, adding a touch of glamour and sophistication. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for design, precision in craftsmanship, and a passion for transforming ordinary items into dazzling works of art.Responsibilities and DutiesRhinestone Application:Apply rhinestones to a variety of surfaces, including fabrics, clothing, accessories, children's toys, and decorative items.Use the appropriate adhesives in the correct amounts to ensure rhinestones are properly adhered.Ensure precision and attention to detail in the placement of rhinestones to create visually appealing designs.Design Collaboration:Collaborate with the Production Manager and clients to understand creative concepts and incorporate rhinestone elements effectively.Must be able to read and interpret work orders.Provide input on design feasibility and offer suggestions to enhance the overall aesthetic.Material Selection:Assist in selecting appropriate rhinestones, materials, and adhesives considering factors such as color, size, and texture to achieve the desired look.Maintain an organized inventory of rhinestones and related supplies.Quality Control:Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that the finished products meet established standards.Make necessary adjustments and corrections to maintain consistency and excellence in craftsmanship.Adherence to Timelines:Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.Communicate any challenges or delays to the production manager in a timely manner.Appropriate Equipment:Responsible for providing and maintaining the necessary rhinestone application equipment to complete all projects.Documentation:Keep detailed records of design specifications, materials and supplies used, and time spent on each project.Assist in creating a portfolio of photos and videos showcasing completed projects for reference and promotion.QualificationsMust be willing to sign non-disclosure and non-compete agreements.Dependable with a strong work ethic.Love for crafting and handmade products. Proven experience in rhinestone or similar embellishment.Willingness to learn the techniques for the proper application of the rhinestones.Proficiency in rhinestone or similar application techniques and equipment operation.Ability to work indoors in a well-lit and well-ventilated workspace which may include design stations, tables, and storage for materials.Ability to use various tools such as tweezers, applicators, and brushes for precise rhinestone placement. And work with a variety of materials, including fabrics, clothing, accessories, and decorative items.Possesses good eyesight and a high degree of manual dexterity for handling small rhinestones and intricate designs.Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods depending on the workspace setup.Strong artistic creativity and design skills with an eye for detail.Ability to take and follow directions well.Ability to take constructive criticism and use it for improvement.Effective communication with clients and other team members.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Knowledge of current trends in rhinestoning and an understanding of various placement patterns as well as types and sizes of rhinestones.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other team members to bring creative concepts to life, express artistic flair, and contribute ideas to enhance designs.Ability to work on a variety of projects with different themes, styles, and materials, adding diversity to daily tasks.Maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure the quality of finished products.Adheres to safety guidelines when working with tools and materials to prevent accidents or injuries.Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves as necessary.Properly disposes of waste materials and keeps tools in good condition.Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional certifications in rhinestone application or related fields are a plus.Job TypeThis is an independent contractor position with a flexible schedule.SalaryPay is per project and will be based on experience and production quality with opportunities for growth.Professional GrowthOpportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization may be available based on performance and experience.
